Prior to becoming a criminal defense attorney, Mr. Hammerschmidt worked as a prosecutor for 12 years and then served as the Senior Legal Advisor to a police department with more than 700 police officers.
Mr. Hammerschmidt started his criminal defense practice as a solo attorney in 2005. Since then, Mr. Hammerschmidt has partnered with Mark Broughton and Hammerschmidt Broughton has grown into a five attorney firm.
