Nick M. Bajalia, Sr.

Nick M. Bajalia, Sr. is a native of Valdosta, Georgia. Mr. Bajalia became the first Valdosta High School student to enter Valdosta State College (later Valdosta State University) as a full-time student under the Early Admissions Program. Having done so, Mr. Bajalia had completed his entire first year of college by the time of he actually graduated Valdosta High School in 1972.

As a college student, Mr. Bajalia attended Valdosta State College between 1971 and 1973. In 1972, during his sophomore year at Valdosta State College, Mr. Bajalia joined Tau Kappa Epsilon Social Fraternity. After completing his sophomore year at Valdosta State College, Mr. Bajalia transferred to the University of Georgia in 1973, and enrolled in the Terry School of Business Administration.

While attending the University of Georgia, Mr. Bajalia founded and formed “Communiversity”, which is the equivalent of the Big Brother – Little Brother Program on the University of Georgia Campus. Nick M. Bajalia, Sr. is a native of Valdosta, Georgia. After graduating from the University of Georgia, Mr. Bajalia attended the Cumberland School of Law of Samford University, from where he graduated with a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree in 1979. During his third year of law school, Mr. Bajalia was asked to serve as the personal Law Clerk for the Honorable R. Macey Taylor, United States Magistrate, United States District Court, Northern District of Alabama.

Mr. Bajalia became a member of the State Bar of Georgia in 1979, and became a member of The Florida Bar in 1981.

Mr. Bajalia first worked as an associate for the law firm of Coleman & Kitchens. In 1980, he became a partner, and the law firm became known as Coleman, Kitchens & Bajalia. Later, Mr. Bajalia became associated with the law firm of Blackburn, Bright, Edwards and Dodd. Early in1982, Mr. Bajalia withdrew from that firm to open his own law firm, and actually founded and opened Bajalia Law Firm for business on May 3, 1982.

During his more than thirty-six (36) years of private practice, Mr. Bajalia has been actively involved in the legal community. He has twice served as Secretary of the Valdosta Bar Association, and has twice chaired the Law Week Celebration Committee of the Valdosta Bar Association.

Mr. Bajalia has been a Board Member of the Georgia Civil Justice Foundation, which is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing public education, rooted in foundational American values, on the civil justice system in Georgia and the United States. The Foundation created and designed “The People’s Law School” for citizens with no training in the law, but who would like to know more about our legal system and the laws that affect their daily lives. In addition, the Foundation also created and designed the “Georgia High School Mock Trial Competition” to better educate the high school age students about our civil justice system.

Mr. Bajalia has been selected into the National Trial Lawyers: Top 100, which is an invitation-only organization composed of the premier trial lawyers from across the country who meet stringent qualifications as civil plaintiff and/or criminal defense trial lawyers. Mr. Bajalia is a member of this distinguished organization for both Civil Plaintiff and Criminal Defense.
Mr. Bajalia has received an award from the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys (AIOPIA), which is an invitation-only legal organization recognizing excellence of practitioners in the field. Membership is exclusive and extended only to those select few who have reached the top of their profession while doing so with the client’s satisfaction being of the most paramount importance. Once nominated, the AIOPIA organization thoroughly researches each candidate and the list is narrowed down to the “10 Best” in a given area. This nomination demonstrates Mr. Bajalia’s commitment to the Personal Injury Law field and his level of approval by both his peers and most importantly, his clients.

For his achievements and service, Mr. Bajalia has been selected for inclusion in Who’s Who in Executives and Businesses. Mr. Bajalia is a lifelong member of the Episcopal Church. Mr. Bajalia is married to the former Monique Andrews. They have six (6) children. They are Erik, Nicole, Brian, Nick, II, Michael, and William. Mr. and Mrs. Bajalia have two (2) grandchildren.
