Amber brings to the firm a wealth of experience in complex litigation, ranging from catastrophic injury claims to unraveling fraudulent schemes on behalf of injured parties. Prior to joining Harris Shelton, Amber practiced with her longtime mentor and former law partner, Houston Gordon, in the Gordon Shaw Law Group, PLLC, where she was the lead and second-chair attorney in jury and bench trials. After trial, Amber was primarily responsible for briefing and arguing appeals in the state and federal appellate courts, including the Tennessee Supreme Court, often in cases of first impression under Tennessee law.
Amber has received numerous accolades and awards for her work, including: National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40; Tipton County Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Woman of the Year; Memphis Area Legal Services Tipton County Pro Bono Attorney of The Year; National Trial Lawyers Top 100; Martindale Hubbell AV Preeminent Peer Review, among others.
Additionally, Amber created and developed the Tipton County Free Legal Advice Clinic in partnership with Memphis Area Legal Services, the Tipton County Bar Association, and First Presbyterian Church.
Amber heads the firm’s office in Covington.
