Martin D. Crump

Martin Crump is a lifelong resident of Mississippi. As a young man, he spent long hours working on the family farm in Monroe County, Mississippi, while also working for his father’s construction company. During college, Martin was a surveyor technician with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers. He also served the country in the U. S. Army and U. S. Army Reserve for eight years. During this time, Martin gladly participated in Operation Desert Shield/Storm. These experiences, his work ethic, and his desire for public service drew him to a career protecting individuals’ rights. His current practice areas include nursing home neglect, pharmaceutical litigation and medical devices litigation. Martin attended and graduated from Mississippi State University. He attained Bachelors degrees in psychology and philosophy, with a minor in religion. Martin received his Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University. From 2009-2012, Martin was recognized by the American Trial Lawyers Association as one of the top 100 trial lawyers. Over the past several years, Martin has represented clients in numerous pharmaceutical/defective medical device litigations, such as Trasylol, Gadolinium, Avandia, Heparin, Sprint Fidelis, Bausch and Lomb and Vioxx. During this time, Martin has served on the plaintiff’s steering committees (the committees charged with directing the litigation) in the Hydroxycut, Chantix, Skechers, Avaulta, Ethicon, Boston Scientific, American Medical Systems and Propecia litigations. Martin is also active in various state court litigations around the country and specifically has been appointed as Co-Lead Counsel in the Hydroxycut litigation in Philadelphia and the Skechers litigation in Los Angeles. His service on the leadership committees shows our commitment to the various litigations in which Davis and Crump, P. C. is involved. Martin currently resides in Pass Christian, Mississippi with his wife, Latrisha, and their five children, Kaylee, Madison, Lilly Grace, Zoe and Emmah. He and his family attend Diamondhead Baptist Church. Martin is an avid hunter and also enjoys golf and sport fishing.
